What is a job match?
A job match is a job listing that corresponds to the criteria defined in your job search. LoopCV scans multiple job boards and company career pages and compares the job listings it finds with your selected settings, such as job titles, location, work type, seniority level, and keywords. When a listing aligns with these criteria, it appears in your dashboard as a match.
Where do the job matches come from?
LoopCV collects job listings from 20+ job boards and company career pages (some companies do not list their jobs in job boards and prefer to list their jobs on their website, typically on their career section). These listings are continuously scanned and compared against the criteria defined in your job searches. When a job listing corresponds to your search settings, it is added to your job matches and it is available for job applications.
How can I improve the relevance of my job matches?
You can improve the accuracy of your job matches by refining the configuration of your job search (we call a job search a loop). Using more specific job titles, adjusting your keywords, setting an appropriate seniority level, and selecting a higher matching level can help LoopCV identify roles that better align with your target positions.
What does the job matching level mean?
The matching level is a setting that Loopcv provides and determines how closely a job listing must align with the criteria of your job search. Higher job matching levels apply stricter filtering, which typically results in fewer but more relevant job matches. Lower job matching level allows a broader range of listings to appear. We typically recommend keeping a lower matching level if you are a junior looking for junior jobs or internships and a higher job matching level if you are looking for more senior positions and you want to ensure that the results will be more relevant to your experience.
How can I get matched with jobs that are relevant to my CV?
In some cases, a job may not appear in your job matches because it does not meet all the criteria defined in your job search, such as job title, location, or matching level. To find jobs that are more relevant to your CV and your profile you should make sure that your criteria are clearly defined. You can review jobs that were filtered out by the system in the Rejected Matches section of your dashboard. From there, you can still review those listings and choose to apply to them if you find them relevant as well as re-configure your job search criteria so that the next job scan can bring more relevant job postings to your account.
