Common AIApply issues
Extension not activating. Like other browser-extension tools, AIApply requires Chrome and compatible browser settings. Ensure the extension has the necessary permissions enabled in Chrome's extension settings. If recently updated Chrome, check that AIApply has updated to match.
Application failures on specific platforms. Job platforms update their interfaces regularly. If AIApply works on LinkedIn but fails on Indeed (or vice versa), a platform-specific UI change may have broken that integration. Check AIApply's changelog or support channels for acknowledgment.
AI cover letters not generating. AIApply's AI features (cover letter generation, answer filling) depend on its AI service being available. Outages or rate limits on the AI provider's end can interrupt this feature without breaking the core application submission.
Account not loading or dashboard errors. Browser cache issues or account session problems can cause dashboard failures. Try clearing your browser cache and logging out and back in.
The fundamental limitation of extension-based tools
AIApply, like most browser-extension job automation tools, works by simulating user interactions on job platforms — clicking buttons, filling in fields, uploading files — within the browser. This approach is inherently fragile because it depends on the specific page structure of LinkedIn, Indeed, and other platforms.
When those platforms update their HTML, CSS, or JavaScript — which happens regularly and without notice — the extension's scripted interactions break. The tool can't find the button it was looking for, or it clicks the wrong element. The developer has to release a patch, and during that window, the tool doesn't work.
This is a structural limitation of the approach, not a specific failure of AIApply. It's why extension-based tools require more maintenance and have more frequent outages than server-side alternatives.
What to use while AIApply is down
If you're in an active job search and need applications going out today, LoopCV provides a more stable alternative. LoopCV is not a browser extension — it's a server-side platform that applies to jobs through established connections to job boards, independent of any specific platform's UI.
This means LinkedIn or Indeed changing their interface doesn't break LoopCV. Setup takes about 10 minutes: upload your CV, specify your target roles, and automated applications start going out across 30+ job boards.
